Switch the Pitch stands in support of the MLSPA and all of our players.
We are concerned that negotiations of the CBA will result in MLS owners locking out players on Thursday, February 4th, rendering them unable to play the 2021 season and taking away their livelihood during a global pandemic.
Players made so many sacrifices during the 2020 season, including spending time away from loved ones, submitting to strict health and safety protocols, and making significant monetary concessions to offset losses suffered by the league and owners.
We do not condone MLS owners’ effort to further place the brunt of economic losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic on players by demanding an extension of the CBA into 2026.
Please join us, the Independent Supporters Council, and the greater soccer community in raising our voices in support of the players.
Let them play.
