Austin absolutely pummeled Cincinnati, 5-0 in Week 1. Cincy is certainly spending on players, staff, and more – so the continued subpar performance is concerning, to say the least. However, Cincinnati’s Week 1 performance bodes well for D.C. Untied’s visit on March 5.

Portland v New England: 2-2
Two of the most formidable competitors in the league drew in their first regular season match of 2022; it will be interesting to see the quest for dominance play out in their respective conferences.

D.C. v Charlotte: 3-0
Despite a roster overhaul, D.C. schooled newcomer Charlotte at Audi Field, 3-0. Charlotte had one fantastic chance at a goal, but alas, would-be-scorer Ortiz was offside.

Seattle v Nashville: 0-1
Both Seattle and Nashville placed in the top three in their respective conferences in 2021. So will one club make a push for the playoffs in 2022? We have 33 more weeks to find out.
